Student Housing

Wuppertal Student Services provide housing for 1085 students in 16 halls of residence, all located near the University of Wuppertal. You have the choice between single apartments or a room in a shared unit for two, three, or six students. Every room has its own bathroom. All apartments or rooms have cable TV and Internet access and some can be made suitable for students with disabilities. Wuppertal Student Services offer a variety of meals and snacks at the following dining halls, cafeterias and snack bars:

Depending upon location, you can choose from a buffet with fish, meat and vegetarian courses with dessert, extra side dishes, food prepared at a wok or otherwise before the eyes of the diner, a salad bar, a noodle buffet, and numerous rolls, baguettes, cakes and breakfast items, etc.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), located in Bonn, provides information on financial issues concerning all foreign students.

Students with Children

Wuppertal Student Services offer students financial assistance for the purchase of clothing, furniture and other items needed for babies.
There is an on-campus kindergarten for children who are at least 3 years of age as well as a nursery school for younger children.

Support program for guidance and mentoring of foreign students living in the student residences.

  • Advice to dormitory residents about computer issues
  • Emergency funds: financial aid and loans to students faced with emergency situations through no fault of their own
